Message From The Corn Festival Chair

This year marks our 42nd Anniversary of the Tecumseh Corn Festival that begins Thursday, August 24, 2017 and runs until Sunday, August 27, 2017.  We continue to have the pleasure of working with great community partnerships.  This wonderful Tecumseh tradition is an indication of summer's end, but with that is the summer-long anticipation we've come to expect of this festival each year!  Part of the excitement is introducing changes that keep the Corn Festival fresh and once again this year is no different in that respect.

The Corn Festival also owes much of its success to its loyal community partners.  The Corn Festival wouldn't be what it is without the Optimist Club Corn Booth featuring the delicious corn provided generously by Bonduelle; the Knights of Columbus Festival Tent, the exciting rides of Carter Shows and the great food and festival fare that all of our Corn Festival booths and entertainers offer.

It takes these partners, mentioned above, and our many committed, dedicated, hard-working individuals - staff and precious volunteers alike, our businesses, sponsors, and of course you, our visitors, who make this community celebration the outstanding festival that it is.  A special thank you to Mayor McNamara, all the members of Tecumseh Town Council, Tecumseh Administration, the Tecumseh OPP and the Tecumseh Fire and Rescue for their ongoing support of this Top 100 Festival.  We extend a huge salute of gratitude to you all!

This year's eager, energetic and dedicated Corn Festival Committee is comprised of  Vice Chair Tony Corona, Leslie Furlan, Jillian Parent, Virginia Lopez, Ron Matysek, Larry Pickle, Phil Kane, and John Parent.  Each has a specific and important role to play in the organization and preparation of the Festival.

Working together is how great events come to life!

Bring family and friends and help close the summer by enjoying the best local festival in Essex County!

We look forward to seeing you.
