The Town of Tecumseh (Town) recognizes the importance of improving the quality of life for seniors and helping them lead safe, engaged, active and healthy lives. In keeping with its commitment to fostering community participation among our seniors, the Town established a Senior Advisory Committee (SAC). The SAC provides advice on issues that affect area seniors to Town Council and Administration. The SAC also works with Town departments, agencies and organizations for the purpose of improving the quality of life for senior residents in Tecumseh. To fulfill this mandate, the SAC strives to develop and maintain a positive liaison with other individuals, groups, agencies, organizations, etc. who are addressing issues of concern to local seniors.
The SAC is continually working on senior initiatives such as educational workshops and collaborating with Life After Fifty to offer programming and social event opportunities. Information details relating to planned events, as they are made available, will be posted to this webpage.
