This is Councillor Marcel Blais 6th term on municipal council representing Ward 1. He was first elected in 1994 and re-elected in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2003, and 2006. Prior to his election into Council, Marcel was the Public Utilities and Water Commissioner for 3 years.

Marcel has lived his whole life as a resident of Tecumseh and now resides at 745 William Street. He is a widower, proud father of three (Darlene, David, and Tara) and grandfather to six grandchildren (Chelsey, Joel, Celine, Marcel, Madeleine and Sydney).

Marcel is a retiree of the Chrysler Corporation after 32 years of service.

Marcel became involved in politics to ensure safe water and sewage supply. He wanted to guarantee water pressure with the addition of the new water tower and ensure ample water supply for fighting fires and maintaining essential services in the community.
