Council Meetings

Laura Moy, Director Staff Services/Clerk for the Town of Tecumseh provides the statutory duties of the Municipal Clerk under the Ontario Municipal Act, which involves recording all resolutions, decisions and other proceedings of Council.  In addition, the Clerk is responsible for processing formal applications to Council and preparation of all Council agendas.  

Town Council meets in regular public session on the second and fourth Tuesday, monthly, at 7:00 p.m.

Persons wishing to be heard or to make a presentation to Council are requested to contact the Clerk's Office.

Delegation Information

Persons desiring to verbally present information on matters of fact or make a request of Council:

  • Shall give written notice to the Clerk seven (7) days in advance of the meeting at which they wish to appear.
  • The written notice shall state the topic to be discussed and any request to be made of the Members.
  • Shall be limited in speaking not more than ten (10) minutes, except that a deputation consisting of more than five (5) persons shall be limited to two (2) speakers, each limited to speaking not more than ten (10) minutes in total time.

Committee Meetings

Standing Committee meeting agendas are coordinated by the Clerk's Office.  The Clerk's Office is also responsible for maintaining a record of all Committee meeting minutes.
