Brighton Road Improvements
A Class Environmental Assessment (CEA) was undertaken for the Town of Tecumseh, in July 2006, for the study area including the properties along:
- Brighton Road from Riverside Drive East to the VIA Rail,
- The Pilots Cove area,
- Starwood Crescent, Southwind Crescent, Aloha Drive, Derby Road,
- Beach Grove Drive south of Pentilly Road,
- Tecumseh Road East from Derby Road to Brighton Road, and
- Old Tecumseh Road from Brighton Road to Pike Creek.
The report identified a preferred solution to address the existing traffic volumes and speeds, as well as to improve storm drainage along Brighton Road, between Riverside Drive East and the VIA Rail, while meeting the requirements of the CEA process. Improvements to Aloha Drive and Derby Road have also been incorporated as part of the Assessment.
