COMMUNICATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
In 2008 the TFRS upgraded the department’s portable radio communications by introducing in-vehicle repeaters, which substantively improved in-building and remote area coverage. The department's dispatch uses the Crisys Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) System and the department's reporting system utilizes FirePro2.

The TFRS is dispatched by Windsor Fire Communications using VHF pagers with unique tones for each station. Radio communications utilize a 400 MHz system. A county-wide channel provides backup to the assigned 400 MHz frequency.
Apparatus maintenance is handled by Windsor Fire Apparatus Division which provides all vehicle repairs and inspections as well as all tool, SCBA and equipment repairs.
