Police
The Town currently contracts the services of the Ontario Provincial Police for police protection within the community. Under the direction of Detachment Commander Rick Derus, this contract is administered by the Police Services Board. The O.P.P. detachment in Tecumseh is staffed by Sergeant Rick Tonial and his Constables, in addition to two full-time secretaries. They are responsible for the patrol & response of the area of the Town of Tecumseh, within following boundaries: - North - Lake St. Clair, East Pike Creek South to the CNR Tracks, West along Tracks to Manning Road, South to County Road 8, West to Howard, North to Hwy #3 (Windsor City Limits). (See Map) This area encompases all of the former municipalities of Tecumseh, Sandwich South and the Village of St. Clair Beach. The Department is located at 963 Lesperance Rd. next to Town Hall. The regular office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
