Customers located north of County Road 22 receive monthly water bills. Customers located south of County Road 22 receive bi-monthly water bills.

The Town does not offer a special water rate to residents filling a pool.  The 2009 water rates apply as outlined above.

Town of Tecumseh Water and Wastewater Rate Study

Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. was retained by the Town of Tecumseh to undertake a water and wastewater rate study update. The objectives and the steps involved in carrying out this assignment are summarized below: 

  • Identify all current and future water and wastewater systems capital needs to assess the immediate and longer-term implications.
  • Identify potential methods of cost recovery from the capital needs listing.
  • Identify existing operating costs by component and estimate future operating costs over the next ten years.
  • Determine potential rate structure(s) to be considered by the Town.
  • Provide discussion papers and policy recommendations to staff and Council, relative to the findings.
  • Undertake a public meeting to present the findings of the study.
