Notice of Amendment to Procedural By-law

The Council for The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh will give consideration to a by-law to amend Procedural By-law No. 2008-69.  This Procedural By-law governs the proceedings of Council and its committees, the conduct of its members and the calling of meetings.

Consideration to adoption of a by-law to amend the Procedural By-law will be given at the regular meeting of Council scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, located at Town Hall, 917 Lesperance Road, Tecumseh.

Notice of Consideration of By-Law to Set Water & Wastewater Rates For The Year 2011

The Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh, will consider a by-law, at its regular meeting to be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Tecumseh Town Hall located at 917 Lesperance Road, or as soon thereafter as Council shall determine, to change the fees and charges for:

·                    the consumption of water; and

·                    the treatment and disposal of wastewater.

 

Information respecting the proposed 2011 Water and Wastewater Rates can be obtained from the Public Works and Environmental Services Department or by visiting the Town’s website at www.tecumseh.ca

 

Persons wishing to make representation to Tecumseh Council, with respect to this matter at the December 14, 2010, Council meeting, are to contact Laura Moy, Director Staff Services/Clerk at 519-735-2184 Ext 116 to schedule an appearance.
NOTICE OF SALE OF LAND - One Foot Reserve - East End of Mero Avenue

The Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh intends to pass a by-law, at its regular meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., in the Tecumseh Town Hall located at 917 Lesperance Road, or as soon thereafter as Council shall determine, to authorize the transfer of the following legally described portion of Mero Avenue to the Ontario Ministry of Transporation (MTO):

One Foot Reserve, Plan 1477, now registered as part 35 on Plan 12R-24022, in the Town of Tecumseh, in the County of Essex.

Town Council shall hear any person who claims their land will be prejudicially affected by the by-law and who applies to be heard by contacting the Clerk, Laura Moy, at lmoy@tecumseh.ca or 519-735-2184 #116, not later than Thursday, October 7, 2010.

NOTICE OF STUDY COMPLETION - Manning Rd Secondary Plan Area, Stormwater Management Study

The Town of Tecumseh has completed the Schedule 'C' planning and design stages for a stormwater management system to service the Manning Road Secondary Plan Area, in accordance with the Municipal Engineers Association's Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2007).

NOTICE of STUDY COMPLETION - Improvements to Manning Road

The Town of Tecumseh has completed the Schedule 'C' planning and design process for corridor improvements on Manning Road from Riveside Drive to St. Gregory's Road, in accordance with the Municipal Engineers Association's Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2007).

Municipal Performance Measurement Program 2008

The Municipal Act, 2001 requires municipalities to measure and report to taxpayers on their performance in service delivery.  The performance measures address both the efficiency and effectiveness of municipal services.  The service areas reported on include garbage, sewage, water, transportation, fire, police, local government, land use, planning and social services.

Municipalities are also required to inform the public on improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of their service delivery and to report on barriers to achieving these improvements.

Copies of the 2008 Municipal Performance Measurement Program report are available at the Tecumeh Town Hall, 917 Lesperance Road, Tecumseh from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
