Tecumseh Mayor and Council is asking residents to join them in a moment of silent reflection this Canada Day in solidarity with Indigenous families mourning the loss of the children in unmarked graves.

Virtual Fireworks - On July 1, wherever you are, enjoy Canada Day fireworks in a FREE, fun and innovative way brought to you by the Town of Tecumseh and Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island. Canada Day Drawing Contest - Submit an original drawing or choose a printable colouring page for a chance to win some fun prizes. Submit your drawing to the Tecumseh Parks and Recreation office located at Tecumseh Arena (12021 McNorton Street) by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29. All submissions will be put on display on Canada Day at Lakewood Park.

Tecumseh's Canada Pride on Display Contest - Tecumseh residents are invited show their Canadian Pride by decorating their home for Canada Day and/or wearing the maple leaf. Submit your details and an image to our secure site to be entered into a draw. No photos will be shared publicly, the images are for confirmation for the contest entry.

Canada Day Take-Home Activity Kits - The Tecumseh Parks and Recreation team have put together some fun activity kits that include craft supplies and instructions. Enjoy a day at the park - Families are encouraged to get outside and enjoy our local parks on Canada Day. While there, keep your eyes open for our Parks and Recreation program staff; they will be setting up some fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Health protocols and safety measures such as physical distancing will be enforced.

National Anthem for front line workers - In honour of our local front line workers, we encourage all residents to step outside at 7:00 p.m. and sing the National Anthem. Share your photos and videos with us on Facebook and Twitter.
