The Town of Tecumseh is excited to announce the 2nd annual Cream of the Crop car show for the 2019 Corn Festival. The show will be held at Lacasse Park on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“We are happy to once again be partnering with Muscle Cars & Classics. The Cream of the Crop car show is something everyone should stop by and see. The show will include the best of the best classic and muscle cars in Windsor-Essex,” says Mayor Gary McNamara.

The participating cars and their owners were selected to join the event after attending various weekly cruise-ins/annual car shows from across Essex County. Invitations to the Cream of the Crop Invitational strengthen the car show community across Essex County by encouraging enthusiasts to display their vehicles at their best throughout the show season.

The show will include a variety of local-area celebrities and their vehicles, including CTV Windsor’s Jim Crichton who will be the Master of Ceremony for the show. Muscle Cars & Classics is also happy to announce that Tom Smith, the Car Guy from TVs Misfit Garage will also be at the event for a Meet & Greet.

“We are excited to be a part of the Tecumseh Corn Festival,” said Rob Menzies, President of Muscle Cars & Classics. “There are a number of interesting and unique cars in Essex County and the participants invited to the show will demonstrate that. We encourage festival attendees to check out the car show while at the park and stop by to meet Tom Smith, the Car Guy.”

Entrance to the car show is included in the festival general park admission fee and the show area will be held in the north west of the park near the ball diamond.

Festival and Events Ontario named the Tecumseh Corn Festival one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario for the 15th consecutive year. This year’s event is three days of spectacular family entertainment including: a vendor village filled with a variety of Arts & Crafts; food booths; Carter Shows Midway; and, the renowned Corn Booth featuring “Tonnes & Tonnes” of Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob from Tecumseh’s own Bonduelle and prepared by the volunteers of the Optimist Club of St. Clair Beach.

Tecumseh recently announced the entertainment line-up for the three-day event. Full details on the festival can be found at www.tecumsehcornfestival.ca and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/tecumsehcornfest and Twitter www.twitter.com/TecCornfestival.
