This is part of the Town's annual flushing program, which improves water quality by removing sediment from the watermains to maintain water clarity and quality. The program is also necessary to make sure there is adequate water flow and pressure available in the water distribution system.

When staff are testing and cleaning the hydrants and watermain in your area, you may see slight discoloration and sedimentation in your water. If this happens, run cold water through your inside faucets for a few minutes until the water is clear.

If your water does not run clear, wait a few minutes and run the water again. If this does not clear the water, contact the Town at 519-735-2184 ext. 142.
