Call to Indigenous Artists Request for Proposal

The Town of Tecumseh acknowledges the tremendous work of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission and the resulting 94 to calls to action. As the Town explores ways to address the calls to action, we wish to strengthen relations with our Indigenous community while respecting their right to heal. This journey begins as the Town celebrates its 100th anniversary next year by seeking Windsor-Essex County Indigenous Artists, (a solo artist or a team of artists) to submit proposals for the creation of original artwork for permanent display within the Town’s municipal building that reflects the spirit of cross-cultural relationship-building and seeks to increase the level of inclusion of Indigenous people in the community.
