Town of Tecumseh Holiday Hours for Canada Day


The Town of Tecumseh offices will be closed on Friday, July 1 to celebrate the Canada Day holiday.

Payments may be dropped off at Town Hall using the secure drop box located beside the main entrance door. Please ensure information on the envelope is clearly outlined (e.g. name, address, tax roll number, application and/or other identifying details to assist staff). As an alternative, the Town’s website also offers online services and payments (


There will be no transit service on Canada Day. Information on the Town’s On-Demand transit service is available on the Town’s website.


The Arena and Administrative Office will be closed on Friday, July 1 for the Canada Day holiday.


There are no changes to the Garbage Collection schedule.


Join Tecumseh Community & Recreation Services at Lakewood Park South on July 1st from 1-4pm to celebrate Canada Day. The free event will feature family-friendly activities to enjoy including an awesome line up of live entertainment. There will also be dancing, skipping, cheerleading, balloon tying, a dog show, music, and MORE! Ride your bike to the event and take advantage of the Bike Valet service on site.

The Town of Tecumseh’s three-day 100th anniversary events (July 2-4) will include activities from across the three historic communities that make up the Town of Tecumseh today. The community is invited to join in all the events and celebrations including tours of Town Hall, Saturday night fireworks, First Nations morning and evening ceremonies – and more.
