Planning Application Forms

The Town of Tecumseh Development Services department uses Cloudpermit, an online platform for submitting and managing Planning Act applications. 

Effective April 30, 2025, applicants will be able to submit pre-consultation requests and formal applications electronically through the Cloudpermit system. This move enhances service delivery by offering a user-friendly, efficient, and accessible digital solution for residents, builders, and businesses.

Cloudpermit will facilitate the processing of all Planning Act Applicaitons, including: 

  • Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments 
  • Site Plan Control
  • Plans of Subdivision and Condominium
  • Development Agreements
  • Part Lot Control
  • Consent/Severance
  • Minor Variance 

While the Cloudpermit platform is designed for ease of use, in-person assistance remains available at the Tecumseh Town Hall. You can apply and submit applications at directly through the Cloudpermit website.

Additionally, users can access comprehensive tutorials and support resources at www.cloudpermit.com. 

PLEASE NOTE:

Once applications are formally accepted, a copy of the application MUST BE signed by the applicant, in the presence of a Commissioner.  A Commissioner is available at Town Hall.

  • Go to the Cloudpermit account login page  
  • Click on register  
  • Provide your email address 
  • Cloudpermit will send a confirmation email. Open the email and follow the instructions to complete the registration process 
  • Be sure to remember the email address and password you used to register 

  • Login to Cloudpermit  
  • Click the create new application button in the upper right-hand corner 
  • Click create new project and give it a name that includes the project address and a description of the project 
  • Provide the location where the application will is for. You can change the municipality to Tecumseh using the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner  
  • Type in your address or roll number or find your property on the map. When you find the valid address, a drop-down box will appear showing the address and roll number. Make sure you verify that this is the correct address.  
  • Once verification is complete click on the building permit box and choose the category, work type, and work target that applies to your project.  

  • After completing all the above steps, you should see a draft of your building permit application. 
  • Please ensure you review your application and that you enable email notifications, so you receive regular updates throughout the permitting process.  
  • You will need to provide additional information before your application is officially submitted.
