Canada Day in Tecumseh 2026

CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS
Join the Town in celebrating Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, with Tecumseh’s Backyard Party, proudly presented by CCS Engineering & Construction. The event line-up includes:

• A family picnic and concert in the park at Lakewood Park South Plaza (13451 Riverside Drive East) from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm (opening remarks at 12pm).
• Family-friendly activities at McAuliffe Park (2391 St. Alphonse Street) from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
• Free Swim at the Tecumseh Pool (590 Lacasse Boulevard) from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
• Tecumseh Thunder 22U VS. Detroit Prospects play under the lights at the Bert Lacasse Ball Park (590 Lacasse Boulevard) starting at 7:30 pm

TOWN HALL    
The Town of Tecumseh offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
Payments may be dropped off at Town Hall using the secure drop box located beside the main entrance door. Please ensure information on the envelope is clearly outlined (e.g. name, address, tax roll number, application and/or other identifying details to assist staff). As an alternative, the Town’s website also offers online services and payments (www.tecumseh.ca).

TECUMSEH TRANSIT
There will be no transit service on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Information on the Town’s transit service is available on the Town’s website.

TECUMSEH ARENA & RECREATION COMPLEX
The Tecumseh Arena & Recreation Complex and office will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

GARBAGE & RECYCLE PICKUP
There are no changes for waste collection. Please refer to your 2026 Waste Collection Calendar for more information.
