Tecumseh Celebrates Franco-Ontarian Day

In celebration of Franco-Ontarian Day and as a tribute to the Francophone community, on Friday, September 25, 2026, the Town will raise the Franco-Ontarian flag at Town Hall and will be illuminated in green and white—matching the colours of the Franco-Ontarian flag.

The Franco-Ontarian flag, featuring green and white with the trillium and fleur-de-lys, symbolizes both Ontario’s identity and its Francophone heritage.

Franco-Ontarian Day celebrates the history, traditions, contributions, and enduring presence of Francophones in Ontario. With over 652,540 Francophones and 1.5 million Ontarians who can speak French, Ontario is the largest Francophone community outside of Quebec.

The Town of Tecumseh is proud to join communities across the province in honouring our Francophone residents and their role in shaping a diverse and inclusive Ontario.
