Town of Tecumseh begins St. Clair Beach Community Wellness & Safety Enhancement Project

Starting July 2026, the Town will begin the St. Clair Beach Community Wellness & Safety Enhancement project along St. Gregory's Road between Manning Road and Arlington Boulevard—a multipart project that will:

• Upgrade and expand the St. Clair Community Centre and Optimist Park,
• Improve accessibility to indoor and outdoor spaces,
• Improve sidewalks and pathways,
• Install a number of road safety improvements to keep kids and parents safe,
• and much more

Construction will begin this week on enhancements of the St. Clair Beach Community Centre followed by road construction along St. Gregory's Road next week. There will minimal impacts to traffic in the area - no road closures or detours. Lane restrictions may be set up for worker safety.

Senior programming has moved to the Tecumseh Arena while the Community Centre is under construction.
