Road Improvements-Paving Notice

Paving improvements will take place on various roads in Tecumseh from approximately September 12th to October 10th. The work will involve grinding and re-asphalting the existing pavement surface.

What to Expect During Construction:

• The roadways will be open to traffic but may be disrupted for short periods while the work is undertaken. This may include temporary reduced access and alternating routes for traffic.  
• Please do not park on the roadway during this period. Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted in advance to alert residents.
• A Public Works operator will be onsite and working alongside the paving contractor to address any concerns.
• Residents in the affected areas received hand delivered notices on September 9th.

Safety first!  

Please exercise caution in the work zone:

• The equipment used is large and requires significant operating space, reducing visibility for operators. For your safety, keep clear of all equipment while in operation.
• The grinding process will create a small lip along the edge of the curb and gutter, which may pose a tripping hazard. Please watch your step when walking in the area until all work is completed.
