By-Laws are rules and regulations to govern activity and development within the Town of Tecumseh.

By-Law Enforcement

The Town of Tecumseh is committed to fostering a safe, healthy, and enjoyable community for all residents and visitors alike. Our By-Law Enforcement Officers work collaboratively with residents and businesses to ensure compliance with a range of municipal by-laws, responding to complaints submitted by the public and other government agencies and conducting investigations for potential violations.

By-Law Enforcement responsibilities include:

Educating the public on by-law matters.
Receiving written complaints or notices of potential by-law violations.
Attending to inspections when complaints are received.
Issuing Orders to Comply, Certificates of Offences, and Summons pursuant to the Provincial Offences Act and Penalty Notices/Tickets pursuant to the Town's Administrative Monetary Penalties By-Law.
Completing administrative and legal duties to ensure compliance.
