Town of Tecumseh Holiday Hours 2025

Town of Tecumseh offices will be closed from Wednesday, December 24 - Friday January 2, reopening on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Taxes & Financial Services
During the closure, payments may be placed in the secure drop box located beside the main entrance at Town Hall, 917 Lesperance Road. Please ensure the envelope clearly includes your name, address, tax roll number, application and/or other identifying details that will help staff properly apply your payment. Cash payments should not be placed in the drop box.

Residents are encouraged to use alternative payment methods, including online or telephone banking and pre-authorized payments. Information on all property tax payment options is available on the Town’s website at www.tecumseh.ca/taxes.  

Community and Recreation Services
The Tecumseh Arena office will be closed from Wednesday, December 24 - Thursday January 1, reopening on Friday, January 2, 2026. The arena will remain open for all scheduled events, rentals, and tournaments. 

Tecumseh Transit
There will be no transit service on December 25 and January 1. You can find more information on Tecumseh Transit at www.tecumseh.ca/transit.

Recycling and Yard Waste Collection
Garbage collection is on Friday, December 26 due to the holiday. Please refer to the updated 2025 Waste Collection Calendar for more information or download the Recycle Coach App. Don’t forget to flip the page on your current collection calendar to access January 2026 information. Recycling collections for January are on the 3rd, 16th and 30th. 

Emergency Dispatch
In the event of an emergency related to Water, Public Works or Parks while Town offices are closed, please call 519.735.2184 and press 8 for dispatch services.
