Storm & Rain Event Clean-Up
The Town continues to conduct clean-up efforts related to the storm on Friday July 3, 2026 and rain event on Sunday July 5, 2026. Pick-up of fallen branches will occur on Monday July 6th and Wednesday July 8th. Residents are asked to bundle branches and leave them at the curb for pick-up. Town trees will be assessed for damage to limbs and removal conducted as required.
The Town is offering a flood debris pick-up as part of the regular garbage collection day on this Thursday, July 9, 2026 to support impacted residences. If possible, place debris in bags or hard-sided containers for safe collection and place them at the curb.

Memorandum of Understanding and Zoning By-Law Amendment Proposed Excess Soil Fill Site and Future Passive Municipal Recreational Area, Northeast of the South Talbot Road and Howard Ave. Intersection: Results of Public Meeting and Final Recommendations: Council received the report summarizing the results of a Public Meeting held on August 13, 2024 and a final recommendation on a Zoning By-law Amendment application with respect to a proposal from Amico Infrastructure Inc. to permit a temporary soil reuse site in accordance with Ontario Regulation 406/19: Onsite and Excess Soil Management, and long-term, a naturalized, passive municipal recreational use on a 15 hectare (37 acre) property located on the north side of South Talbot Road, immediately east of its intersection with Howard Avenue.
Tecumseh, ON – The Town of Tecumseh is proud to announce that it was recently selected by the Province of Ontario as a recipient of funding through the Housing Enabling Water Systems Fund from the Ministry of Infrastructure, to help municipalities develop, repair, rehabilitate and expand critical drinking water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
Tecumseh Hamlet Secondary Plan Presentation of Draft Document and Scheduling of a Public Meeting: Council received a report providing an overview of the Draft Tecumseh Hamlet Secondary Plan (THSP), including its purpose, content, and the planning and servicing processes involved. It also outlines the public and agency consultations conducted so far and highlights key outcomes from these engagements.
Tecumseh Community and Recreation Services is excited to host an End of Summer Celebration event on Saturday, August31 at Lakewood Park starting at 6:30pm. The event begins with a Community Bonfire and Marshmallow Roast by the beach, while local artist Max Marshall plays some tunes!

Tecumseh, ON - The Town of Tecumseh is thrilled to announce the grand reopening of the newly renovated Bert Lacasse Ball Park on Sunday, August 11, at 3 pm!
Payments may be dropped off at Town Hall using the secure drop box located beside the main entrance door at 917 Lesperance Road. Please ensure information on the envelope is clearly outlined (e.g. name, address, tax roll number, application and/or other identifying details to assist staff).
The Town of Tecumseh has commenced a Special Planning Study (“the Study”) to identify ways to update the Town’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law to expand housing choices and improve affordability in both existing and new greenfield neighbourhoods.
Zoning By-Law Application: 5035 Walker Road, West Side Walker Road U-Haul: A meeting was held to hear public comments regarding a zoning by-law amendment application submitted for vacant land located on the west side of Walker Road/County Road 11, approximately 260 metres (853 feet) north of its intersection with North Talbot Road, in order to facilitate the construction of a U-Haul moving and storage commercial facility.
Starting Monday July 22, 2024, road paving improvements will begin on various roads in Tecumseh. Improvements will include grinding and re-asphalting the existing pavement surface.
2024 Draft Development Charges Background Study and Development Charges By-law: In follow-up to a report received by Council on June 25, 2024, a public meeting was held to present background information on the new Development Charges Background Study being undertaken by the Town and its consultants, Watson & Associates Economists Ltd., including a breakdown of how the maximum allowable charge is calculated .
