Signage will be posted at each facility indicating COVID-19 safe play recommendations. Residents using these facilities are reminded to keep their distance from others at the facility by leaving 2 metres of space at all times. Users are to provide their own equipment and wash/sanitize hands and equipment before and after play.

The following recreational facilities remain closed: Playgrounds, Beaches, Outdoor Exercise Equipment, Tecumseh Leisure Pool, Splash Pads, Permit-Based Sports Fields, Public Washrooms
Tecumseh Recreation Complex & Arena

COVID-19 Safety Warning: All Tecumseh Playgrounds are closed. Please do not use park equipment and play structures as they are not sanitized. Public health officials remind you to: Stay home if you are sick, While walking in the park please practice social distancing, Avoid touching surfaces, Wash your hands with soap and water and/or use hand sanitizer frequently.

Get outside and explore Tecumseh's many parks and trails. Our beautiful parks make playing in the great outdoors an adventure. There are over 200 acres of parkland in 37 parks throughout the town. Our trails allow you to walk, jog, run, bike or roll.

Lakewood park

Includes 65 acres of manicured turf, paved walking trail, outdoor fitness equipment, 10' climbing boulder, winding water channel and pond, 18 hole disc golf course, sandy beach for full access to Lake St. Clair, pavilion and gazebo, accessible washroom facilities and beautiful flower beds.

Community parks

There are five major community parks including Lacasse Park, McAuliffe Park, Optimist Park, Tecumseh Town Centre Park, and St. Mary's Park.

Neighbourhood parks

Our neighbourhood parks are smaller in area and provide local recreation activities such as playing fields, playgrounds, basketball courts, and baseball diamonds.
