  • Lakewood Park South - Excess Soil

    On Monday, July 8 excess soil material will be relocated from the Lacasse Park parking lot project to a contained area within Lakewood Park South for temporary storage prior to its use to support the upcoming new amenities in Lakewood Park South. The area will be fenced, and a security camera will be installed.

    Zoning By – Law Amendment West Side of Walker Road U-Haul Moving and Storage: A Zoning By-law amendment application was submitted by Amerco Real Estate Company pertaining to a 3.2 acre vacant property located on the west side of Walker Road/County Road 11 (north of its intersection with North Talbot Road), to facilitate the construction of a U-Haul moving and storage facility.

  • Lacasse Park Asphalt and Landscape Restoration Project

    On Thursday, August 1the final series of improvements at Lacasse Park will begin. Improvements include a resurfacing of the existing parking lot, an additional parking area adjacent to the baseball practice infield, removal of the old picnic shelter and concrete pad, expansion of the surface area around the newer picnic shelter, new pedestrian pathways and additional landscaping

  • Tecumseh Council Connect - May 28, 2024

    Essex Power Youth in Community Fund: Council received confirmation that the Essex Power Corporation has once again approved funding to continue to support organizations that offer activities and projects geared towards youth in 2024. The “Youth in Community” Fund programming has continued annually since 2014, and throughout the years has sponsored a variety of recreation programs, events and local sport organizations including Breakfast with Santa, Canada Day Celebration, Christmas in Tecumseh, and Earth Day Celebrations.

  • Town of Tecumseh 2024 Road Needs Study - Update

    The Town is proceeding with the second portion of the 2024 Road Needs Study to obtain a detailed condition assessment of the Town’s existing road network. Information from the Road Needs Study is used to prioritize road improvement projects. Dillon Consulting Ltd. has engaged Ontario Traffic Inc. to complete traffic counts for this study.
