The Town of Tecumseh has contracted Davey Tree Expert Company to begin the undertaking of a municipal tree inventory, the first phase of the inventory will be  within the bounds of the former St. Clair Beach, specifically the limits of this phase of the  inventory are Manning Road, Riverside Drive, Brighton Road and the tracks south of Tecumseh Road. Every municipal tree within this area will be inventoried for; location, species, diameter, and preliminary condition ratings. It is anticipated the inventory will take approximately one month to complete 

Tree inventories and their findings are vital pieces of information for assessing and maintaining a thriving urban forest. The data collected and documented allows staff to track each tree and document its health, maintenance needs, potential safety risks, and more. Once this area is completed the tree inventory will continue until all of the Towns municipal trees have been documented.
