Tecumseh Celebrates Its Volunteers

The Town of Tecumseh is celebrating residents who have displayed dedication and an unselfish desire to help others and assist those in need.

Town Council, at its March 8 regular meeting, selected four Tecumseh residents who are being recognized with awards for their volunteerism and community service:
• Edward Janisse – 2021 Donald “Donny” Massender Memorial Volunteer Award
• Anita Imperioli – 2021 Dr. Henri Breault Community Excellence Award
• Lynda Lacombe – 2022 Senior of the Year Award
• Jocelyn Adams – 2022 Youth of the Year Award

“The foundation of any community is the people, and in Tecumseh we are exceptionally fortunate to have so many volunteers whose contributions are a true inspiration for citizen service,” said Gary McNamara, Mayor of Tecumseh. “Congratulations to these dedicated individuals for this well-deserved recognition and your volunteer efforts which have so greatly benefited the Town.”

The awards will be presented at an upcoming meeting of Council. Teanna Kavanagh, the 2021 Youth of the Year Award recipient, will also be presented with her award.

The Town salutes those who serve on its committees and boards, and the many volunteers who help make Tecumseh a great place to live.
