In accordance with the Government of Ontario’s decision on outdoor recreational facilities, the Town of Tecumseh’s two Splash Pads will reopen on Monday, May 31, 2021. Daily hours of operation are 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Use of all outdoor recreation facilities in Town is at the user’s risk.

The Splash Pads are located at:

St. Mary’s Park                                    McAuliffe Park

12020 County Road # 34                     2391 St. Alphonse Street

“We are pleased to have the ability to open our two splash pads this year to provide additional outdoor recreation opportunities for our residents,” said Gary McNamara, Mayor of Tecumseh. “We continue to stress the importance on being vigilant in following public health guidelines and social distancing practices at all of our outdoor recreation facilities to reduce the spread of COVID-19.”

Signage will be posted at each of the splash pads indicating COVID-19 safe play recommendations. These include:

  • Do not participate if you:
    • Are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19
    • Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19
    • Are considered vulnerable or at risk
    • Leave at least 2 metres of space between yourself and others at all times.
    • A maximum of 10 people at one time on the splash pad surface. Please respect these limits.
    • Wash/Sanitize your hands and toys/equipment before and after using the splash pad.
    • Bring your own hand sanitizer
    • Avoid sharing toys or equipment with individuals outside of your household.
    • If you cough or sneeze, do so in a tissue.
    • Avoid touching your face.
    • When possible activate the water feature button with your elbow.
