Tecumseh Seeking Snow and Leaf Angels Volunteers

Tecumseh, ON - The Town of Tecumseh is seeking volunteers for the 2022-2023 Snow and Leaf Angels Program, which starts October 31 and ends March 31.

Snow and Leaf Angel volunteers are matched with seniors and persons with physical disabilities living in the Town. The angels clear snow and leaves from Town sidewalks and driveway entrances for those in need of assistance.

“We are excited to welcome back the Snow and Leaf Angels program,” said Mayor Gary McNamara. “The program is a great way to get involved with Tecumseh and get to know your neighbours and fellow residents.”

Last year, 37 volunteers in the program cleared snow and leaves for over 50 residents in need of help. The program is a great way for families to volunteer together and for high school students to complete their 40 hours of community service.

To learn more about the program and complete a volunteer application, visit the Snow and Leaf Angels page on the Town’s website or contact Tecumseh Arena at 519-735-4756, Ext.0. Seniors (those 65 years or older) and persons with physical disabilities can apply for assistance by contacting the Town by phone or completing the online form on the Snow and Leaf Angels page on the website.

Find more information about this and other Tecumseh news and events on the Town’s websiteFacebook page and Twitter feed.
