Drainage Board
The Court of Revision is an appeal body established under the Drainage Act to hear appeals related to drainage assessments. The Town of Tecumseh Drainage Board acts as the Court of Revision, providing affected landowners an opportunity to appeal their assessment before a decision is made.
The Drainage Board is governed by it's Terms of Reference.
Membership
- The Drainage Board is comprised of five members, including four members and one Chair.
- Members are appointed for a four-year term, coinciding with the term of Council.
- Members receive compensation per meeting. Mileage expenses for attending meetings are not reimbursed.
- When a Town drainage project involves another municipality, the Court of Revision consists of two Tecumseh Drainage Board members and one representative from the affected municipality.
Meeting Details
The Drainage Board meets monthly or at the call of the Chair and sits as the Court of Revision when required. Meetings are held at Tecumseh Town Hall and are open to the public.
