Sylvestre Drive/Desro Drive Improvements Project

The road reconstruction includes the implementation of a cul-de-sac at the east end of Desro Drive, 
including the permanent closure of the Desro Drive access to County Road 19 (Manning Road). 
Underground sewer works, temporary asphalt restoration and the stormwater management pond 
occurring this Fall 2026, anticipated to be complete by the end of December 2026.

Through Winter 2026, the road will re-open. Road reconstruction will re-commence Spring 2027, construction is anticipated to extend to early  Summer 2027. Permanent closure the Desro Drive/Manning Road intersection will occur in early 2027.

Access to all properties/businesses will remain open during the duration of this project. Temporary 
driveway closures will be short term and will be communicated to all site operators in advance. During 
this project, traffic detours will direct traffic to the County Road 19 and Jamsyl Drive Intersection.

The County Road 22 and Sylvestre Drive off ramp lane will be closed. It is advised that all businesses notify 
their customers and delivery services to use this alternative route. Curb side garbage, yard waste and 
recycling pick up will remain unchanged.  The Contractor will collect materials placed at the roadside 
and deposit these in an appropriate area for collection when required.
