Property Standards Committee

The Property Standards Committee hears appeals from property owners or occupants who have received an Order under the Town’s Property Standards By-law.

When considering an appeal, the Committee may confirm, modify or rescind the Order, or extend the time for compliance, while maintaining the intent and purpose of the Property Standards By-law.

The Committee is governed by it's Terms of Reference.

Membership

• The Committee consists of three members of the Committee of Adjustment.
• Members serve for a term that coincides with the term of Council.
• Members receive $100 per meeting.

Meeting Details

The Committee meets at the call of the Chair when required to hear an appeal. Meetings are generally held in public session following a Committee of Adjustment meeting.
