If reported cases continue to increase, the Town will be forced to close the Park for a week to ten days.

COVID-19 Update:

The Windsor-Essex area will move into Stage 3 of the Provincial Framework for Reopening as of Wednesday, August 12. This means that recreational facilities within the Town of Tecumseh are permitted to reopen within Ontario public health guidelines and regulations. Signage will be posted at facilities with Return to Play Recommendations.

Outdoor play equipment will not be sanitized and users are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene, keep a physical distance of 2m (6 ft) and wear a mask or face covering when physical distancing cannot be maintained. If a playground is busy, Tecumseh Parks and Recreation recommends finding another park or returning to play another time. The dog water fountain remains closed.

The Tecumseh Dog Park is located at 12000 St. Jacques and provides a leash-free area for dog owners and their pets to enjoy.

The park provides a water fountain for dogs, plenty of benches to relax and enjoy the outdoors, as well as accessible paved trails. All owners attending the park are asked to help maintain the cleanliness of the park by picking up after their pets (waste bags are available onsite).
