Tecumseh Transit Service (TTS)

Notice of Service Change for the TTS starting on November 1, 2023. 

The Tecumseh Transit Service have a new route/schedule (Monday to Friday) beginning on November 1, 2023.

On-Demand transit will continue to operate on Saturday only.  For more information on bus stop locations/route, transit schedule and transit fares, please refer to the Transit Informational Pamphlet provided on-line and on the bus.  Bus passes can be purchased at Town Hall.

On-Demand Service (Saturday only)

On-Demand Transit is a shared-ride public transit service without a fixed schedule or route. The route is optimized by computer software, and it is based upon rider trip requests. On-Demand Transit operates within the existing transit service area and bus stops, allowing riders to travel from stop to stop more directly. 

The On-demand Transit program will allow people to book a trip through the Blaise Transit app, booking online at ride.blaisetransit.com or by calling customer service at 519-956-0041. By downloading the “Blaise Transit App”, riders can not only book their ride instantly but also track the status of their on-demand transit vehicle in real-time.

The following provides answers to many of your On-Demand service questions.

Where does the service operate?
You can view the operating zone on the app, along with the bus stops.  All pick-up and drop-off stops are located at the existing bus stops within the zone limits. You can book on-demand transit by visiting ride.blaisetransit.com or by calling customer service at 519-956-0041. 
 How much does each trip cost?
 The fare structure for on-demand transit is the same as the fixed service.
 What are the operating hours?
The service operates Saturdays, from 6am to 6pm.  You can be picked up or dropped off any time within this timeframe.
 I have reduced mobility.  Can I request a ride?
 Absolutely!  On the app, select the Reduced mobility option and the system will know to pick you up and drop you off at the bus stop closest to both your origin and your destination.
 Can I modify or cancel a trip?
 Once accepted, a booking cannot be modified in the app.  But you can cancel a trip before departure and submit a new request.
 Am I guaranteed to receive a trip at the time I requested?
 The system will provide you a trip within a short period of your requested time but never earlier or later than the limiting time indicated in the request.
 I don't have a smartphone.  Can I still book a trip?
 You sure can! Use a computer to book online at ride.blaisetransit.com or call Customer Service at 519-956-0041 to book over the phone.  For any additional questions about the service, please call 519-735-2184 ext.861 or visit or website at Tectransit.ca.
